John Philip Colletta has many years’ experience translating old French and Italian documents into English.
For his Ph.D. he specialized in medieval French, and his M.A. degree in Medieval Studies required reading Dante and other Italian authors in the original Old Italian.
Conversant in both languages, Dr. Colletta is equally familiar with both cultures. He has traveled throughout France and Italy many times. He earned his M.A. in French at the Sorbonne in Paris, and a Certificate of Romanesque Studies at the University of Poitiers. He has also conducted scholarly and genealogical research in the civil and Catholic Church archives of both France and Italy.
